About James
South London born James started his career in banking in 1989 and since then has held senior positions at Coutts, Collins-Stewart and Equity Trust/TMF Group (where he was Global Head of Investments). James has spent the past decade building a running a Jersey based private family office and accumulating a portfolio of non-executive and advisory positions (in a variety of sectors from private debt to food and beverage, chemical engineering, and fund management). One such position was with Enness which made it an easy decision to extend that into a full-time role as Group Head of US and Offshore in May 2025. In James’s new role he will join the Leadership Team with a mandate to expand the business into North America. James will also take overall responsibility for our more established Offshore jurisdictions, covering locations such as the Channel Islands, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the Caribbean. Outside of work, James is a fanatical petrol head (so much so that he recently bought into a Jersey based tyre fitting business!) a Crystal Palace fan, dad to four children and stepdad to two. It’s a busy household!
